    LP is brand-new/unplayed/sealed!

Ten years after the release of the - emblematic for the Greek prog metal scene - “Orvam: a song for home”, NEED decides to celebrate it not only with its release on vinyl for the first time but also with a brand new remix & remaster of the album by Hector.D.

Hector.D, producer of Need on their last albums 'Hegaiamas' & 'Norchestrion' but also responsible for some of the most important works of the scene (Mother of Millions, Calyces, Poem etc.), worked from the beginning on the original recordings of the album and managed to give 'Orvam' a completely fresh look with a crystal clear and voluminous sound that was missing from the initial release, thus completing the concept trilogy of Need's last three albums sonically. Orvam press quotes “Orvam: A Song For Home” is a masterpiece and will definitely not lose its place among the best releases of 2014 in my list. Any fan of progressive metal, but also of good/qualitative metal (no matter the genre) that thinks out of the box, should listen to it and give it the appropriate time to unveil its colors. May this album be the game changer in their career and the beginning of many great things to come. Rocking.gr/Noisefull.com

We’re dealing with the best album of progressive music for the year 2014. It’s a great need to become part of a masterpiece at the time of its creation and not in future tense. - progrocks.gr I can’t say many more things for an album that is easy amongst the 4-5 best melodic albums ever to come out of Greece. An album that’s simple within its complexity that lets you discover new things with every spin. And that’s something missing from today’s scene. - Rock Hard (Greece) If you want to know what good neo-progressive rock sounds like, it sounds like this. Need doesn’t just completely blur the boundaries between prog metal and prog rock, the band also pulls in the hypnotic rhythms and instruments of Eastern Mediterranean and Middle Eastern metal, progressive folk and symphonic metal. This goes beyond being good prog metal. It’s a tour de force that will surely be in my Best of 2014. - ametalstateofmind.com If you are looking for a progressive metal group that 100% justifies these two terms equally or for sophisticated metal music that will make you bang your head with pride, your search is over. Need is the band you were looking for. Progarchives.com "Orvam is a progster's joy, and in general of all lovers of music that comes from the heart. If you haven't heard of Need yet, then run for cover. Because after you meet them you will develop a literal "need" for a kind of music that is so full of pathos." truemetal.it

‘Orvam: A Song For Home’ is almost an hour of brilliant progressive music. A lot of different styles are mixed very well into one solid album. From raw to calm, with booming drums and slow piano parts, and this all being produced by Neil Kernon, known from Queensrÿche and Nevermore. All in all a brilliant album. - lordsofmetal.nl Need make one more step forward with this album. They deserve every recognition and success. They’re undoubtedly one of the best bands to ever come out of Greece and can play in the same court with every other band of the genre anywhere in the world. - progrocks.gr
