A long-lost chapter of 1980s arena rock history is finally coming to light. Kid Curry, the Hollywood-based band once poised for major-label stardom, will officially release their unreleased debut recordings, nicknamed The Epic Tapes but released as Fire and Ice, through FnA Records. Under the guidance of Epic Records executive Dave Novak, the band entered the studio to record what was intended to be their debut major-label release. Despite completing the record, the project was never officially released, and the band ultimately disbanded — leaving behind a collection of recordings that became the stuff of legend. Unbeknownst to many, drummer Michael Kramer, who also served as an engineer and co-producer, preserved the original multitrack recordings, videos, and archival materials at his residence for decades. Nearly 40 years later, those recordings have been restored and compiled into this release.
