One of the greatest and most essential lost early American heavy psych rarities. Originally recorded in 1969 by a group of New York studio musicians, this album was never really meant to see the light. However, several years later in the early 70's the groups manager (and owner of Tiger Lily Records) released a micro-pressing of the session. According to the liner-notes, the band members were not even made aware of the release. The sound is classic heavy stoner rock with a killer punked out vibe and occasional nods towards proto-metal. If you're a fan of BLUE CHEER, SIR LORD BALTIMORE, JOSEFUS, SAVAGE RESURRECTION, YESTERDAY'S CHILDREN, etc., you'll absolutely love this album. Clocking in at barely a half an hour, there isn't a single weak moment on this lost gem. And this CD release version is the highest quality release of the record I've yet heard. It sounds as if it is taken from master tapes and is NOT a vinyl transfer. I cannot recommend this album highly enough! It's unfortunate that this recording was not released in 1969, as it likely would be a well-known classic of U.S. heavy rock/hard psych.
